Bodycam System Requirements: Official Minimum & Recommended PC Specs
Official Bodycam PC system requirements from Steam: minimum and recommended CPU, GPU, RAM, and storage for running the Unreal Engine 5 tactical shooter.
Bodycam is one of the most demanding games on Steam — its hyper-realistic Unreal Engine 5 rendering and physics push mid-range hardware hard. Below are the official system requirements from the game's Steam store page, current as of November 8, 2026.
Minimum Requirements
- OS: Windows 10/11 (64-bit required)
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X or Intel Core i7-9700K
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 5700 (8 GB) or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 (8 GB)
- Network: Broadband internet connection
- Storage: 50 GB available space
- Additional notes: SSD recommended
Recommended Requirements
- OS: Windows 10/11 (64-bit required)
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 3800X or Intel Core i7-10700K
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT (8 GB) or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (12 GB)
- Network: Broadband internet connection
- Storage: 50 GB available space
- Additional notes: SSD recommended
What These Requirements Tell You
The floor is unusually high. Most shooters list a GTX 1060-class card as their minimum; Bodycam's official minimum starts at an RTX 2070/RX 5700 with 8 GB of VRAM. The bodycam presentation (wide-angle distortion, film grain, real-time propagation audio) is rendered at high fidelity with no low-quality fallbacks, which is where the demand comes from.
8 GB VRAM is the practical baseline. Both tiers specify 8 GB graphics cards. GPUs with 6 GB of VRAM will likely struggle regardless of raw GPU speed, since texture quality has limited scalability options.
16 GB RAM for the recommended experience aligns with the game's streaming-heavy photorealistic environments; 8 GB meets the minimum but leaves little headroom.
A 50 GB install on an SSD is effectively required: the recommended notes call an SSD out explicitly, and load times plus texture streaming suffer on mechanical drives.
Can Your PC Run It? (Practical Guidance)
- RTX 3060 / RX 6600 XT or better: the official recommended tier — expect playable performance at 1080p with reasonable settings.
- RTX 2070–2060 Super / RX 5700 class: the minimum tier — expect 1080p low-to-medium settings and possible dips in dense fights or smoky environments.
- Older or 6 GB cards: below the official minimum; expect stutter and VRAM-related stalling.
Performance will vary by map and mode. The v0.9 update (November 13, 2026) adds zombie modes with many AI characters on screen — hordes are a new workload the current PvP-focused requirements don't model, so treat the recommended tier as the realistic entry point if you plan to play Zombie Trenches.
Platform Availability
Bodycam is Windows-only (no macOS or Linux versions listed, and no console versions announced). A 64-bit OS and a broadband connection are required; the game is online-focused multiplayer, with zombie PvE modes arriving in v0.9.
